Thank you RevMax customers! A record 1800 needy kids in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area received gifts this holiday season because of the RevMax and CMPD Explorers Christmas Project! Key sponsorship was provided by RevMax, as owner Frank Kuperman Jr., returned for the second consecutive year to boost his contribution by donating 2 bikes for every transmission sold during the holidays. The RevMax Bike Challenge ended up purchasing over 150 bikes worth over $10,000 because of your loyalty to RevMax products. As a father himself, Frank was looking for ways to give to the children in his community when he came across the Christmas Project on a radio ad last year. He immediately called in to find out more about how he could help.

CMPD Explorers Christmas Founder RevMax

The program began in 1974, when 15 families were given gifts by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. As the founder, previous police chief of Charlotte, received a phone call on Christmas Eve from the director of Quail Hollow Country Club that a number of guests had left Christmas gifts with no names attached at a party the night before. Since that humble beginning, the program has grown year over year, as local companies like RevMax and CPI Security (both title sponsors) have invested in their community by giving back to the children who are our future. CMPD worked hand in hand with guidance counselors and teachers to select needy children to receive 3 gifts and a gift card for their family to buy food for their holiday dinner. The gift card is a new tradition since 2014 that allows families to honor their own cultural and religious traditions while providing a celebratory meal and memories for their family.
